Balancing Chemical Equations Sample

Balancing Chemical Equations Worksheet

Some students find it really hard to study and understand a subject which require them to count and learn with number. Therefore, several table sheet usually is available to help them in counting and learn in understanding number more.

Counting and number are not only in mathematics there are several science subjects which include them as well. Chemistry and physic are two subjects which study often find it difficult to understand. The reason is because beside include number and counting, those two subjects require the students to remember formulas so that it would be easier for the students to count.

As for chemistry, besides remembering formula, students also need to memorize chemical, molecules, and atom. One task that which generally received by students when learning chemistry is balancing chemical equations. For some students, it is kind of nerve-racking to do the task since they need to balance it based on the Law of Conservation of Matter. Thus, it need practice, knowledge, symbol, and the important is techniques.

To help the students going through the struggling, there is balancing chemical equations worksheet which can be used by the students when they get balancing chemical task from school.

The types of chemical equations

We can tell that balancing chemical equations task is normally given to the students which have learned the introduction and the basic of chemical equations. Therefore, in order for you to be fluent in carrying out the balancing chemical equations, here are the chemical equations that you should remember:

  1. Acid Base reaction

It started from the simple chemical reaction. Why it is called the simple one because it is the most common reaction and is called the acid-base reaction. Besides, the acid-base reaction is called the neutralization reaction and it provide water and salt when the two chemical combined together.

  1. Combustion Reaction

The second one is a reaction which occur H2O and CO2 that happened because oxygen compound and carbon compound combining together. Water and carbon dioxide are the result of the burning oxygen. In fact, any combination with oxygen results combustion.

  1. Displacement and Replacement reaction

There are two types of common chemical reaction which are single and double displacement. Single displacement is where one of the element exchanges place with another element in a compound. The example of single displacement is XY + Z

XZ + Y

Another example of single displacement reaction:

2K + 2H2O -> 2KOH + H2

On the other hand, double displacement is where anion and cation from two different molecules switch places and form two completely different compound. For example, AB + CD -> AD + CB

Another example of double displacement reactions :

AgNO3 + NaCl ->AgCl + NaNO3

  1. Decomposition Chemical Reaction

Decomposition chemical reaction is a process in which a single compound breaks down into two or more new elements or compound. One of the example of this reaction is NH4NO3 -> NO2 + 2H2O

Balancing chemical equations worksheet can be a new way for the students to learn balancing chemical equations. Hence, the students will no longer be afraid if they get task about chemical balancing.
